This course provides basic information related to dementia, the disease process, and its impact on behavior. In this course you'll learn key components of compassionate dementia care, including strategies for redirection, validation, and uncovering unmet needs. This course provides opportunities to practice and apply new knowledge through a variety of interactive exercises. With the right mindset, the right knowledge, and the right tools, you can improve communication and, ultimately, improve care for a person living with dementia.
