Course Description

To do this successfully we must find safe and equitable ways to partner with emerging technologies like AI. This course provides a basic overview of what Artificial Intelligence (AI) is and how it impacts members of the National University community.
Fundamentals of AI is designed to help NU employees partner with this new and rapidly evolving technology. This course will equip you with the basic knowledge and skills required to begin harnessing the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in educational environments. You'll explore learn about craftingeffective AI prompts and identify tools to streamline administrative tasks.
This course offers the opportunity to consider ways to use AI to enhance collaboration, manage classrooms, and provide personalized feedback through automated grading. The course will also touch on the ethical dimensions of AI in education, emphasizing responsible use, equity and privacy Ultimately, the course aims to empower educators to leverage AI to enhance the learning experience while continuing to reach specific learning outcomes.

Requirements to Enroll
No application is needed to enroll. All learners are eligible to enroll in the course. There are no admission requirements. All NU employees are able to enroll in this course at no cost.

This course can be completed in approximately four hours.
Access Time
Learners will have access to their course learning modules for up to 12 months from the date of enrollment.
Certificate of Completion
Learners will be awarded a National University Workforce Education Solutions Professional and Continuing Education Certificate of Completion at the end of the course.
How to Access My Course
Allow up to 24 hours after enrollment for the course to appear in Brightspace. (An error will appear if accessed before 24 hours)

- Log in to your student portal at westraining.nu.edu
- Click “Login”, then “Student Login”
- Log in using User Name (email address) and Password
- In your PACE student portal, click on “Brightspace LMS” on the left-hand navigation panel.
